I was wondering if many people here knew of burbots. We call them poor man's lobster, very fine table fair. Common to 5lbs and not unusual up to 10lbs. I used to bring them home, until one day my wife had a closer look at one and decided they were "cute". I still keep a few, but clean them at the lake and once they are home, the fillets are no cuter than pike or walleye. ;\)
