The feeding here in Indiana the last week has been great. The bass are feeding real good and the bream are also starting to feed good. The bass look healthy after such a cold Feb., I was worried and called Bob a couple of times asking him what he thought about how our bass would do. I went out the other day and cast 6 times and caught 6 bass around 2 to 3 pounds. I am now feeding 4 times a day for 7 seconds on high and they are ready for it. I will increase to 10 seconds on Thursday. I hope you all are well.

How do you think they will act when the highs are in the 40s and lows are in the 20s later this week.

They will probably slow down some, but will continue to eat...unless the water temperatures drop into the 40's.
Jody...has Dr. Griffin shipped his Purina Bass Chow to you, yet?

LMB feeding here has been fairly good; slightly less this week after a cool weekend. They are ahead of the BG in taking pellets so far this Spring.

Nice. You actually have feed trained Largemouth!? Awesome, don't know of many pond meisters with feed trained bass.

Been catching bass since march here. Much later than usual but didn't do much fishing till last month. I've caught 4 bass 13"-14" so far. I've caught 5 bass over 13" from my lake. Biggest was only 1lb 2oz though, all of them were waaaay under weight. I've harvested 12lbs of bass so far. Still hoping to catch some 2lbers.

Bob, Dr. Griffin did call the other day and is in the process of getting us set up. Yes, Allchaca we have bass that are fed with fish food. Bob Lusk brought these bass up to us last june( see pond boss issue about Tony Stewarts lakes) and they were trained to eat fish food and we fed them 50-60 lbs per day until it cooled off this winter. Next week we will increase back up to 50 lbs per day and then see how that goes and then we will feed them all they can eat. This summer we will pour the feed to them.

Jody,

I've been feeding my bass too up here in northern Indiana along with some new arrivals of 5 to 7 inchers I put into a floating cage until this fall.

We're supposed to get some bad storms today with highs in the 70's and then highs in the 30's and snow showers for the next four days. Yuck!

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
