Your pond pic is a finished vision of exactly the way I want mine to look after the grass is planted! And too, good approach to raising your new brood. We have a ton of BG that I keep fat with feed for the kids to fish (and they keep the LMB fat too) and size is what they all grow to.
There is nothing like seeing a kid with a full stringer of wiggling BG that has never fished before in his/her life! Lurking below them all is 150 Channel Cats that are for my own personal dinner table...
