my little 1/3 acre pond was filled up with well water in early march. The water had, and still does have a nice green tint to it, that has gotten a darker green since, indicating fertility. I put some FH and 3-5" CNBG in the pond on march 10th. 2 CNBG died within the first day. I would assume that would be normal. Two days ago i started getting about 3 dead CNBG a day.So iv'e lost a total of about 10 BG out of the original 200 stocked. I've been feeding pellets every evening, but have not been getting many takers at all. I'm thinking those dead fish have starved to death, while i'm trying to get them feed trained. If so, maybe i need to broadcast feed over the whole pond, just to get them started. The water test good in the basic ph and alkalinity area's. Am i thinking right? Wished i would have been a little more patient now. Thanks for the input.
