I agree with DD1 you don't need a motor on a 5 acre lake, and by all means don't go get the thing sprayed with bed liner as someone suggested in the leaky jon boat fixes tread. I payed 35$ sight unseen for a 12' V bottom. Someone had patched the entire bottom with roofing tar. It now weighs double what the boat originally weighed. It still leaks. I use a coffee can to bail as needed.
