Yeah, it should work but not perfectly. Somehow the GG's and hybrids aren't all that perfectly hybrid. Not sure how you could reliably sex them unless you started out with sexually mature fish. Even then, it's tough and most people make mistakes.

If it were me, and it's not, I would also toss in some Channel Cats as predators for the offspring. Use a feeder and everything ought to work out well for quite a few years. Then, several years down the road, start over.
