Basement in my case. I still have our first machine - a 1984 Columbia 1600 (the last PC copy that IBM bothered to put out of business), highly modified with a full 640k RAM, a HUGE 21 MB hard disk card, added external cooling fan, and 2nd external power supply (we called it the "baboon heart" p.s.). Other than some sticky keys on the 'board, it all worked 4-5 years ago.
