Gator I don't know. That was from an email from Bar-O. I think it happens more up north as animals wander out on the ice and fall through and die.

Oh man.. those suckers will swim right accross a lake. One day I was bass fishing and I look in the middle of the lake and see something. Could not tell what it was so I went out there. It was a white tail deer... swiming right accross the lake. I mean far... I stayed 25 feet from it and that thing kept right on swiming to a island, it walked up onto the small island, ran across it and jumped right back in and continued swiming to the shore. It dont suptise me to hear one drowned like that.

sweet i have just found another pond to fish it is giant it has a county road running across it and it isnt more then two miles as the crow flies but by car its about a ten minute drive. the reason i never saw it before was because of a dense forest between the creek where i fish and the lake. that google planimeter says it is 30 acres. thats huge fir farm ponds round here they average about 1 biggest iv seen is 8.
0.22 acre dam pond LMB, BG, and CC

2 miles would be easy walking distance. Time to explore your surroundings.
To Dam or not to dam That isn't even a question

Nice. Mine was updated too. In case you didn't know, you can measure your pond. I measured mine, and it's surprisingly accurate.

Good grief! that looks like a 7x7 0r possiby a 8x8 elk. must have been sick or weak or wounded. they can swim along ways, they float very well with there hair being hollow they are very bouyant. Maybe that huge set of antlers had him nose heavy and he couldnt hold his head out of the water for very long.
A little snow, Please!
