Oh, OK - that's on Harold's place. He's my hero - he has enough money to be called "eccentric" instead of what people around here call me.

No, I don't have a picture of the island. You can't see the pond from the road, and while I believe in the back of my head I knew that Harold had a pond, I didn't have any details on it until you guys pointed it out. That driveway that goes to the big pond with the island doesn't even open up onto the road yet.

Yeah, there's quite a few bigger ponds in the area. That even bigger pond south of Harold's is "Mirror Lake" in a county park. I have hiked around it many times and fished there some, but the fishing stinks. The water looks really infertile and there is NEVER anything approaching an algal bloom. Or a decent-sized fish. No boats are permitted and the shore fishing is just plain lousy.

If you go North of my pond, there's a bigger "L" shaped one, which is in an orchard. Just to the west of it are two ponds a little bigger than mine - the larger, southern one belongs to my cousin Stumpy Jack. Bruce saw him on the cover of PB Mag once.
