To my way of thinking all of this data is far too old for any serious use, though it is very interesting and it is free.
The photography comes from different companies for different areas and with different origin dates. That is why Google may have a newer version of your area than Microsoft does, or the other way around.
If you use GPS mapping in a handheld or a GPS based navigation system in your vehicle, keep in mind that the map data you are depending on may be several years old.
