My only reservation on the tripod would be hogs. Well, I guess cattle could be a problem if you have them. Hogs really like to rub. Even with the leg stakes, I would still be worried about them taking the camera down. I set the height of my camera mount by looking at the legs of my feeder and getting above the highest rub/mudline. The hogs really liked rubbing on the T-Post so I cut a small cedar and wired it around the post...seems to have stopped the rubbing for the most part.
Now the tree mounting bracket I like!
Oh, I have seen folks concrete a post in a 5 gallon bucket to mount their cameras. Still has the issue of being knocked over, but makes a fairly solid portable stand.
