Overcrowding allows stressors to affect fish, leading to bacterial infections, diseases and death of weaker fish. If a die-off is similar size, singular species, it is probably disease related. If multiple species, multiple sizes, it is probably water related.
If water temps are warmer than 55 degrees F, you can feed the fish medicated feed.
