The Hot Springs Ark area has geology that has many potential pond/lake building dangers. It is an area that has highly fractured rock formations that are exhibited all the way to the surface and it (like Yellowstone Nat. Park) was shaped by volcanism (aka hot springs). Before buying land in that area for building a pond get professional help to see if it is possible.
