I'd talk to Bob Waldrop just down the road from you...my own approach would be to not only put in the FH's but also stock a portion of your eventual BG numbers now...say 50% now and the rest in the spring. I've learned that BG do indeed grow considerably through the fall and winter in our area and by stocking them now, they will be acclimated and ready to spawn at the first opportunity in spring. Its an exciting time watching your lake fill up for the first time...happens only once, enjoy it!
