Poeple ask about how long it takes for bugs to start growing in a new pond. My guess is about 30 minutes! Small pond dries up, fills with foot of water and is pumped out. I then clean out all the silt and about two feet of the original bottom. It rained Monday and Thursday I pumped about a foot out again. There were waterboatmen everywhere. Are these the same one that were in there before or new ones? If the same ones, they would have had to crawl out of the pond completely because I pushed dirt out of the whole pond.

Water boatmen are "true bugs" (Hemiptera) and can fly. However, pigs cannot fly. If a flying pig dropped a load on you, you would know that U had been hit.

Not that it's a problem in any way. We've been blessed by the lighter side occasionaly for a few days now!
Flying Pigs would be a real problem in many, many facets of life.
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

Sunil Bill has some funny (great) sayings. He did call the geese by their true name "flying toilets".

I always thought pigs were animals. I had no idea they are bugs.

If you took every one of my water boatmen, and replaced it with a flying pig, and then I was allowed to sell the bacon, I would have so much money that I could buy every person on the forum an extra pond.
