Eastlad, we don't have the 13 inch restriction. Just the one buck/two doe quota. I have a hog trap but they won't go in it. I'm still learning.
I know a lot of guys who have quit hunting because they enjoyed photography so much. I guess that's OK but, to me, it's kinda like kissing your sister. I'm still a predator but really wanting to spend more time passing on what little knowledge I have.
I'll quit when I no longer get the momentary twinge of regret when I walk up to the deer. I doubt that I'll feel that way about the hogs. We will start actual hog hunting after deer season ends. I have guys wanting to lease for hog hunting but I'm just not sure about that.
