That was my problem last year. We had rains all aroundus and it would be flood type of rains as close as 5 miles from my pond, yet we ended up getting nothing at the pond all year. Last year my rain meter said I had a total of 3.2 inches from May - Sept. I was cursing the radar becuase it always looked as though it was going to hit, then it went above or below us or just fizzeled out all together.
Such is the life on a pond. Living one rain shower to the next!
