That's what emergency overflows are for aren't they? I actually prefer an emergency overflow for my main overflow as it is fool proof IMHO. No seeping around a pipe etc. etc.

Are you sure CNBG's will survive in Kentucky? I didn't think they would as I was told by a fish farmer in Arkansas, when they get a cold winter, they lose them. And that's farther south than Kentucky. Not trying to be a downer but maybe I'm wrong?
