My pond is new, muddy, seemingly sterile except for some little diving bugs. I've got no vegetation yet but some structure. The bugs are about 1/2" in length, and swim under water everywhere.

I stocked some FH's and some CNBG's (just a few), and I've put in some larger BG's that I caught and a couple of CC's.

I see no sign of any life. If any died, the coons got to 'em before I did, as I get out there no more than once a week.

I wonder if my "sterile" pond with new muddy water was unable to support the FH's and consequently everything else died. Or, are they all hiding?

The pond was about 1/4 surface, 3 feet deep when I stocked it with 1000 FH's and 25 CNBG's.
