I've been considering planting scuds in my new forage pond. My dilemna is that I want a forage pond from which I can transfer forage to my HBG fish pond. But I also built my new pond with a shallow end that will hopefully attract waterfowl. Big news here in MN lately is that ponds stocked with FH minnows by bait dealers are ruined for waterfowl. The fatheads eat all the copepods and amphipods that ducks really like. I'm looking for anyone with experience stocking scuds and catching them later. I did find a company that sells scuds for reasonable price. I think they had very large batches rather than just a scientific sample. I'll look it up and report back. I also plan to plant water celery, burr reed, and other waterfowl freindly aquatic vegetation in my shallow areas.

Gotta get back to fishin!
