CliffB - Sorry for the confusion. I am glad you caught my error. Scuds is the common name for amphipods (Amphipoda - Class) and they are first on the Carolina list. Carolina does not mention which species you will receive. The item detail mentions that you may not even receive the common form of amphipod - Gammarus. I would not buy from them unless they could supply the genus and species name. Usually scuds inhabit weedy or heavily vegetated, shallow pond areas. BE sure you have some dense weedy areas for long term survival or you are for sure wasteing your money. Some species are basically stream or cold water species. I fixed the error in my above post.
