I have very little emergent vegetation in the 25 acre lake I live on. I enjoy fishing for bass in bullrush. Would adding some bullrush to my lake be as easy as digging it up from elsewhere and planting it?

Sebof,

Can't speak for bullrush but I transplanted bur-reed from one pond to another by simply digging out the plant and setting it in the new pond. The tranplants are about a month old and no sign of any problems.

I have tons of bullrush. You cant kill the stuff. Dig it up...replant it. The best time is in the spring. But I transplanted some on christmas day last year and it was fine.

Should be no problem. I have relocated some and they survived.
