Makes sense, one acre is lot of surface area and alot more voulme of water! My 1/3 acre pond holds only 800,000 gallons, while a full acre pond at similar depths would hold 2.4 million gallons. Missed that important distinction- that's alot of water to cool down. Good catch! I guess I am blessed to be in mid- Northern Michigan, where the evening temps dip consistently.
