In the last month or so I have seen a strange algae type "stuff" in my pond. It's green and like tiny threads about one inch long all over the pond. They are not floating but suspended and they don't cling together. I'm talking about gazillions everwhere. Doesn't matter if the wind is blowing, they cover the entire pond. I assumed it was some type of algae bloom and would end up matting up but this doesn't seem to be happening at all. Is the stuff bad? What can I do about it? I live in south central Kansas and the pond is about 1 acre.

Sounds like the same thing I saw at my pond a month or so ago. I thought they looked like tiny worms but they didn't move any. They (it) are gone now.
