Hi Double Camp,
what kind of aeration system are you using? could the 24/7 aeration be keeping the clay suspended?
if this is a possibility, maybe raise the diffuser stations off the bottom and/or put the aerator on a timer to run only at nights and see if it clears up any before spending a lot of money on water treatments.
