Ya'll might remember that here in Oregon, getting a fish-stocking permit is not easy, and no channel cat allowed, period... Welp, the mysterious fish delivery bird stopped by and lo and behold, I have about 28 LMB feeding on the fat and sassy (fed) BG. (Cats are still on my wish-list...) We even observed about 50 LMB fry following the 'parent' around the edge. Simply put, we are on our way!
Last year, the 1.38 acre newly deepened (20' deep, uniform 45* sides) pond "turned over" and has never cleared up again. Clay particles are the culprit, as the depth and 24/7 aeration keeps the algae at a minimum. Can I wait this out and clarity returns, or do I treat the approx 6,300,000 gallons? I searched PB for info on Alum and buffers, but don't know a good supplier of any of the chemicals in Oregon. Any suggestions? We drive long-haul, so patience with the pond probs is easy if waiting it out is an option, but I want the best for the fish, and friends do enjoy swimming out there while we are away. Keeps a presence there too.

The fish are healthy, and we have hundreds of bull frogs, so the situation must not be too bad. But, would like to make it better.
