Pond Boss Forums INTRO Questions & Observations Where is the new Pond Boss?

I have been waiting for someone to report they had received the new magazine. Isn't it a little overdue?

Sunil usually is first to post the delivery of a new issue. So far he has been silent on this, although he has been on the forum in the last 24 hours.

My mail usually comes to my house around mid-afternoon.

So we'll see when I get home from work.

And as always, I'll give you suckers a heads-up.

this is about the time i need to quit browsing the forum unless you guys will make a pact not to discuss contents of new issue......as some of you may recall, old D.I.E.D. won't get his for several weeks after the first one is reported delivered

unless of course, Mr. Lusk heard me last month and gave up using the pony express for CA deliveries?? no problems Mr. Lusk, its still well worth the wait, even after the carrier has laid his stealthy paws all over it.

think this issue will contain centerfold of the (bi) month?

I'm surprised someone as silly as Lusk doesn't have a fold-out centerfold for each issue!

Which fish would you want displayed or was it a pond centerfold that was envisioned ? Surely nothing else was on yalls mind.

DIED we do have a sorta unwritten rule not to discuss mag. contents until it looks like most have received theirs. Once in a while there may be a hint of what's up but we hold off on a full review.

not that i know how magazines with centerfolds are structured or anything like that, but it would be really fun to have a regular pictorial devoted to catches in ponds(i.e. best/funnest/most dramatic/most informative/biggest/smallest/cutest :rolleyes: ), and of course, the centerfold would be a different pond every issue.

...and I am sure the Dave would have no idea if the specific photo subject would require inverting the mag 90 degrees after unfolding the target pages.

these suggestions for pictorials and centerfolds are not meant to detract from the scientific quality and nature of what we have come to expect from PB. Although it would be absolutely delightful to break up the science w/ some intriguing graphics, speaking for myself, I do read it for the articles

Got mine today! Perfect timing too - we're going on our annual vacation to Montana tomorrow. I'll read it cover to cover many times over on the plane!

And you guys think Texas is great. Pennsylvania is where it's at when you get Pond Boss first!! Mine was here today also.

Sunil doesn't know how lucky he really is. I just got back from PA on Wednesday on my next leg of the PB...I mean work tour. Unfortunately, I was holed up in the Philly area...too far from his "alleged" roost in Somerset. I fear, tho, that I may have blown a brilliant opportunity to swoop in and impose RobA! I'll say this...there ain't no empty ponds in Philly!

Mine arrived Sat. Now only a few days (1 or 2) after Sunil down from 10 days. Regular mailman must be on vacation. BTW Sunil there are people who get it before you ( authors , proof readers , Bob , etc.) :p

I am feeling lucky today is it raining so Something is going good...I am making the calll...I WILL GET MY PB TODAY!!!!
I may leave a nice cold slice of watermelon for the postman, if the rumbread isnt working in the summertime

I got mine today - another nice issue!

...I took a big risk. I packed the rural mailbox with ice and Coronas. Then, for the finishing touch, I jammed a lime onto the mailbox door handle (It actually looked kinda cool...like somethin' you'd see in Jamaica)
