Yes, I read about it just this morning. It isn't really that surprising considering the extreme drought we have been having. I know of guys catching reds in the river in the past.
A bull shark is a serious shark. They are down right mean and will do a human bodily harm.
I'm guessing the reason they didn't immediately notify T,P,&W is that they may not have wanted their catch other than the shark to be exaimined (or maybe didn't have the permits). If you have ever fished below that dam, you know that a lot of "stuff" goes on. Some of the largest and very best striped bass anywhere are in the pools just below that dam...and they are all off-limits.
