Can a micro pond be predictive of behavior/results in large(r) ponds?

I wonder if others have experiences?

In just a short time with a micro pond I have watched in amazement at the complete elimination of fatheads and the virtual take-over by Gambusia. I stocked two dozen fatheads and only three(3) Gambusia initially(hoping to get at least one male and one female). Now the fatheads are completely gone and tiny little Gambusia are seen all over the surface.

I also stocked predators initially, F1 GG and F2 TGG, 1 LMB, 1 crappie. The crappie died, the LMB disappeared and the TGG's are observed feasting on Gam's and fatheads while they were here.

Probably not predictive of anything, but just fascinating to watch and observe. I really recommend these little ponds for the fish nuts like me out there. Very fun.
