OK, I've been away and would like to chime in...trying to re-align the subject.
In the Dallas/Ft Worth area, the fishing Pro's say that in the back coves of our most popular lakes (Hubbard, Grapevine, Lewisville, Chambers, etc... Gators exist in every lake. We don't experience attacks here, they have become nocturnal. Two years ago, South Dallas football teams had to cancel night practice because Gators took control of the 50-yard line with the river flood.
I also know of several corporate leases that have Gators on their Hunting Resorts. The highlight attraction of the evening is to watch the gator's eyes as they swim around.
There's a place for everything...but keep the kids away...always. Darwin's law should only apply to age 21 and up
