This from the Montague County Shopper:
The Pond Management Seminar has been scheduled for May 5 beginning at 6:00 p.m. The program will have Bob Lusk of Texoma Hatchery come over to give us a hands on demonstration of using the shock boat to determine species of fish and their size in relation to pond size, and game fish to bait fish. .....He will cover topics in relation to weed identification and control of that species. Bring a pond weed for him to identify. Bob will also cover sport fish and cover related to pond size. What has the drought done to our ponds?
The program will take place at Don MacLaughlins, which is 2 miles North of Montague on Hwy 175. Please call the RSVP at 940 894 2831. There will be a small fee for catfish and the trimmings.
