In our 20 acre pond in Ellis County, TX we put in threadfin shad about 9 years ago. I also noticed during that time that we had some gizzard shad as well. I would find a dead one on the shore from time to time and they were usually about 6 to 8 inches long. I assumed that was as big as they got. WRONG........Saturday, one of my dogs brought what was left of one up to the kennel and that rascal had to be 20 inches or better. I had no idea they got that big. Question: Can you catch them? and should I be concerned? I just cannot imagine any of our bass being able to dine on one of those large rascals......Let me know what you think if you wouldn't mind
