Just spent a week canoeing down the Pecos River in West Texas. Beautiful clear water. We caught all the Red Breasted Sunfish we wanted, and for the first time I cooked some. Usually, I throw them back and keep filet-sized bass. But after hearing so many of you state that Bluegill are your favorite eating fish, I had to try for myself, figuring Red Breasted would taste the same. They were yummy.

Just curious, did you catch any Texas Rio's? Wondering if they are in the Pecos.

If you are referring to Rio Grande Cichlids, then yes. We did catch some.
