Wow, what a sad story. I hope the ending holds an anticipated happy twist. Ya gotta do whatcha gotta do.
The boss and I owned a real nice little place on one acre right on the Tippecanoe River in Indiana. It was absolutely gorgeous. 190 ft of frontage, the river was about 300 ft wide in front of us, heavily timbered with mature oaks and maples. It was killer...heaven on earth...but it was only an acre and we had neighbors. We sold it a year ago to buy wooded acreage and build a pond. Kind of a reverse of your decision. Why did we do it? We wanted seclusion, elbow space, a beautiful water feature, and no noticeable neighbors.

WOW nice place! We are looking to do just the opposite of your plain! We own land 8 miles from the beach and a large resort community that is growing way way to fast for us. I was raised here on the Eastern shore of Maryland and it was once a paradise for outdoorsmen and a great place to raise a family now it�s all about the tourist! We are going to sell our home with two ponds and a nice home and are looking at farms and land (with BIG PONDS AND LAKES) in the up state NY area. We could sell here at market value and pay cash for several hundred acres elsewhere!

Offer still stands, I was there over the weekend and it is still way bass heavey. Caught about 20 bass under 14" and only 5 in the 2 to 4 pound range. It will take a while to sell and for me I don't care if it does. Lake is full thanks to all the rain and the water looks good.
