The coloring is not necessarily wrong to be a green sunfish or green sunfish/bluegill hybrid. The reason being it is so light in color due to the environment it came from and that it's a juvenile. Definitly not a rock bass.

I will go out on a limb here, but if you got your bluegills from a supplier I'll bet this green sunfish bluegill hybrid was mixed in. That's what I believe it is.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
