The dog and I have been sweatin' the fact that we could become gender outnumbered in our own home vs. the wife and the daughter plus the one in the womb.
Well, we just had the anatomical ultrasound today and, if all goes well and higher powers willing, the dog and I will not be in the minority.
It's a boy!
He was sportin' some wood in there clear as day.

Congratulations, Sunil! And good luck.
Now the bad news - with two kids, you, your wife, and the dog will be outnumbered.

Congrats to you and the wife.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Thank you Guys. My wife doesn't seem to dig the name Magnus, so I'll have to get to work on some other options.
Oddly enough, I have yet to be projectile defecated upon by my daughter. So much to look forward to!!

Sunil, You're one thousandth post is coming up. It is becoming a tradition to make it a good one. Please try to not use the word "defecate" in it.

Congratulations!!! I think Brettski is right... now you need a cat (female to keep everything equal). It has been scientifically proven that two or more pets keep asthma and allergies way down. That is a biased biologists way of saying "I LOVE kids and cats". Way to go. Are you entertaining the names Bob, Bruce, Theo, Eric, Dave,.....? Deb PS.... projectile woo-woo ( ) is not the problem with baby boys. It is the front side that will get you at every chance (spoken from first hand experience).

Long story short (yeh, like I EVER do that) I spent 15 hours in labor, Ryan's heart stopped, and I was rushed into a C-section. My doctor had held my hand through a multitude of surgeries for infertility, had pointed me towards IVF treatments, was a phone call away throughout my pregnancy (I lost Ryan's twin ), and he decided to knock me out during the C-section because he thought I was losing Ryan also. I stayed three days in the hospital, and Ryan stayed for seven. First night with him home I got up to nurse and change him at about 2:00 AM. Having only one eye open while changing him I got a full force soaking. He laughed at me... at only one week old. I knew at that moment that I had either a highly intelligent kid or one with a sense of humor (now I realize I have one with both qualities plus many more). Kids... the world is better with them in it. Deb
