So glad to see your return my dear ML. Your knowledge on this forum has been greatly missed over the past month. I don't think even you are aware of what your experience has done for others. That experience in turn leads me to Gator's question above.
To all moderators out there please do not read my next few comments as negative for they are not meant in that light. It is true that my joining the forum (or rather my fish joining the forum) brought out the worst side of a handful of people. I am not sure if this was/is from fear of change, fear of the unknown, or exactly what. The point remains though that when ML left the forum a month or so back, he and I were still being slammed to a degree for the experiment at hand. If things have really changed (as it appears they have so far) then it might be ok to go ahead with posting the experiment. But there are always the what if's. Like I said I am trying not to be negative, but I would hate to have Meadowlark or anyone else with his knowledge and expertise come back to the forum after a "mental regrouping break" only to be shot down again before the shooter could be moderated.
So... let's poll it like Theo did on his last thread about "your favorite fish". Maybe those in favor of posting the experiment can express their thoughts, and if the count is over say 15-20 people then the posting can resume (provided ML agrees). If others over that # are not interested then they can skip over the thread. Then again if enough people aren't interested in the first place then ML can continue on with those who have contacted him by private email.
Just thinking out loud again....
Deb

Just make the heading "ML's Georgia Giant HBG update", that should be clear enough not to open the thread if not interested. I am pretty sure there will be many lurkers even if GG are one of their least favorite fish.

I would like to see the progress posted here also, but only if ML is comfortable like Bill says.
Nice to see you posting agin also, Deb. Always enjoy your information and humor.

I have PM'd with ML to let him know I'd like him to post it in the open, if he is comfortable with that.
