I was wondering how it should be attempted, and if my measures would work. My thought would be to get 6 ,5 gallon buckets of peagravel, walk into the water a bit and scoop out 3- 6 buckets and throw it out little buy little leaving a 4 X 8 mat. and do this in few other locations, maybe pile it up a bit , and let the fish move it around as they wish, this would be for my CN BG. I was thinking were it is 3 feet atleast deep, so would the peagravel do O.k., Do I need larger gravel, and is this a o.k. measure? I do have grass and vegetation, on the first 5 feet of the pond kind of like a ring on the inner pond, all this vegetation may be just all they need to spawn enough for me, I do plan on adding 1-3 grass carp, no more than that. so is it worth my trouble, would it bebefit the spawning population, or is it waste of time. 1 acre , clear pond. if you need that info.
