Welcome to PB Chuck!! As you can see, the other members have certainly provided you with some good suggestions/advice. I noticed Bill's comment #5 but it hasn't received much attention. With an existing connection between both ponds, I think you will get a mixing of fish. This HAS taken place in my two ponds.
