That was brought up in this thread, I believe by Bruce. Yes, it's a viable option and during the cold months the RBT's are a blast to catch even through the ice, while the other fish may not be so active. You can even get a few inches growth from October to May albiet not in the dead of winter.
Male bluegill could be an option. Maybe Chuck should get the latest copy of the PB mag if he doesn't already have it?
Chuck, you could purchase some bluegills and put them into a floating cage and feed them and once they are easy to sex just put the males into the pond. Peak time will be probably June. (See the article)
