Coupla questions early. Why the HBG instead of true bluegill? Just wondering.
Could you possibly use your DO meter to monitor water quality throughout the summer before deciding whether your current aeration system is adequate?
I'm not qualified to answer questions regarding aeration, but I do know that a lot can be learned through observations during the first few months.
I am at least partially qualified
to talk bluegill and forage issues and am always curious why the hybrid bluegill is so often mentioned as an primary consumer early in the pond stocking process. They will eat a lot of the same things that your bass population will want to utilize. Just wonderin'.
