Looks like Willy D is on the boiled peanuts again. A little stomach problem I assume.
BTW, I have no idea how to delete a post. Hope I never learn.

Don't send any here! I can't stop eating them! Nobody does them better! I'd be like DD1 said, with a stomach ache!

Thanks Ric but one person disagrees, my buddy Greg Grimes says I am second best. But next summer when I can get some green spanish peanuts I am going boil a batch and take a ride to Ball Ground and drop a some off to Greg and his lovely wife and baby. I am going for being Gregs number one boiled peanut vote

Get a big mess of peanuts and soak them for awhile. Boil them slowly until they soften, eat them, and stay away from polite company.

Not being used to boiled peanuts, I found that I couldn't stand them. The more I tried, the worse they tasted to me. This is one Southern tradition that I will gladly leave in the South. No offence meant.

Norm my wife has lived here for all but her first six years of live. She not only does not like them even says it makes here sick to see the water running down to my elbow when I eat them. She said they are meant to be roasted not soaked in water. Man I Love her to death but you two are dead wrong on this one. Norm maybe you just haven't tried Duggan's yet.

Greg, you might be right. However, I got sick from boiled peanuts that everyone else loved. I love roasted peanuts.

We are gettin' way too political again. You got your lefts and rights, liberals and conservtives, now we're being overrun with moderators. Just what the hell is a moderator? Everyone I like to rib is a moderator now. Who are the moderatees?

Heck, I'm not worried about it. I know and like Bill. Since we've never discussed politics, he has no real idea whether he is right.
I think the idea of moderators has been in Lusks mind since the time that some hacker threw a bunch of porno on here. Some of you will remember it. I called the PB office, told them about it, and got Lusks cell phone #. If you want something that would be "moderated" ask Bob what kind of words I used when I caught him on his cell phone to tell him about it. Then some personal animosity started hitting that we all know has no place here and was/is totally out of line. Since Lusk travels extensively during "the season" and can't be on everyday, he figured he needed help. Ewest and I talked it over in Atlanta and decided we would start watching and notifying Lusk when things started getting out of hand. Bob took things a step further. A couple of his posts pretty well gave his expectations of conduct and laid down the law. I think it was due and overdue and I expect others will agree on that. Barring emergencies, if everyone is civil, as we ought to be, moderating is a ho hum thing.
Here's the thing. This forum, paraphrasing Lusk, has grown to be more than just a place to exchange information about ponds. It has become a community of people with similar goals and interests. Nobody wants to mess with that. Greg's notification about becoming a Papa, Duggans post about becoming a Grandfather; have been welcome here. Heck, Bill Cody can't even take off and go to Sin City without making prior arrangements for his absence. Several people were ready to send out the Cavalry when he was out of touch. Bob even posted about Bruce going fishing. None of those things, and a lot of other posts, have anything to do with raising and catching fish. That is a community and the concept needs to continued.
There are other fish web sites that are pretty high brow and no darn fun. If you'll notice, you've never seen a person, new to ponds, told that their questions were dumb. Nope, they get help and pointed in the right direction. That's not universally true on other special interest sites.
Hey, if I were really concerned, I would go back and delete a lot of my own stupid idea posts.

BM : Keep ribbing . Moderatees are limited to those who won't mind their manners. With this PB group I think moderation will be a rare event. Do note that all of the moderators are also potential moderatees.

Yep, Ewest moderated me recently. Laughed my head off.
I haven't done any of it. Bruce told me how and, if a part time Dentist can do it, I figure it would take me about 37 seconds to figure it out. Theo shouldn't be far behind.

:p Dave knows I was kidding him . Dave I did not know if you noticed. It was funny as what I moderated was exactly the same thing (word symbol/usage) that I had used in a past post.

Yep, I noticed and started to call you. I was going to try to sound offended and irate but realized that I just couldn't pull it off.

I still laugh when I think about the woo-woo moderation. I have been a little under the weather for the past few days. Pun intended! If you want to know where I live, just get a radar or rain report from last night and I am right in the middle of the 50 mile corridor that didn't see a drop. Dave it looked like you may have had some badly needed rain. I hope so. Great post above!!
Please no more rain for a month! :|

IF there is any kidding going on that we moderators have assumed is good-natured and well received, but the kiddee (got to be a better word for that) actually objects to, please let us know. Even DD or I would figure out what to do about it in a hurry.

Okay, I'm sorry, I guess you all are allowed to have some non-topical posts here. All work and no play makes pondmeisters dull like me. I have heard that before.
