If anyone has specific experience with weeds in a northern pond, it would be interesting to hear about it.
Dwight - stay away from the eurasian milfoil, that is unless most of your pond is deeper than 8ft, then it shouldn't be a big problem then. We currently have aquatic vegetation growing from the bottom all the way to the surface during the summer in all areas of our pond that are less than 7-8ft deep. They grow in deeper water too, they just don't quite make it to the surface though.
