One comment I can make about the WD-40 thing is that I wouldn't want to be smelling it on my hands all day while fishing.

The point may be mute though. When you use that crawdad stink, make sure that you consider the wind when you spray it on your bait. On a day with very sporadic gusty winds, you could be hating it.
