The tilapia in some of the ponds did the trick in keeping algae and duckweed under control...we didn't have to use algaecide while the tilapia were stocked.

In other ponds, seems the tilapia couldn't keep up with the demand, so we used some algaecides to help.

Of the thousands of fish we stocked last year, we didn't have ANY calls to come skim and remove dead fish - absolutely AMAZING! It was reported that the majority of the fish that died were eaten or sank to the bottom.
