Bill- This pond doesn't have any springs feeding it. It is very shallow...average depth of 2.5 feet. It has a deep hole of 14 feet that we got clay from to make the dam. It is very similar to my creek. Shallow with a mud bottom and very warm in the summer. The fish I took pictures of is approx. 4.5". I am sure it is from last years spawn. I have trapped them from 2"-8.25" in length so far. My pic's I took didn't show the coloration of the fins nor the dark "lateral line". From the research I've done they are indeed creek chubs. Ewest's post describes them perfectly.
