You're so right! I will try to approach the crappie population from both ends. I will keep the pond very predator-heavy, always releasing the large bass. I will make a concerted effort to keep plenty of hiding places for favorite crappie forage. (gambusia, shrimp, fathead). What few crappie that survive predation should be nice and plump. I hope!
