This is the time of year when most of the American Fisheries Society chapters hold their meetings. Many people here on the forum would enjoy attending these meetings, even if we're not professionals. Dave Willis can comment on this better than I.
I've been to AFS meetings in Florida and the Dakotas. Even to a beginner like me, these meetings were interesting. Many of the subjects covered don't apply to our lakes but are still interesting. It is also fun to meet the different professionals in the field.
This year, Nebraska and the Dakotas will have a joint meeting at Chamberlain, SD. The dates are Feb. 27 & 28 and March 1st.
