It's simply a matter of dressing for it and acclimating to it. On really cold days I reside in my shanty. Even on cold days if the sun is bright it gets so toasty in my shanty I have to take my jacket off.
Even in the single digits or below if there is no wind if you dress right you would be amazed how cozy you can be!
