Bob -- I don't know your expertise level, so don't feel like I'm talking down to you. Do you know that crappies often suspend, especially under ice cover? Do you have a Vexilar, or similar equipment? If so, watch for the fish in the mid-water column, rather than right on the bottom. Also, they often bite well after sunset.
